Nokia Siemens - Service Manager

Job Description / Skills Required:
• Expertise in IT infrastructure Design and should be able to handle modifications based on Business Needs independently
• Business environment understanding, Service planning, Service orchestration, Life cycle cost mgmt, Requirements handling, Service level mgmt, Service risk & problem mgmt
• Good working knowledge of SCM tools, such as SVN, ClearCase & CVS
• Expertise in Linux & Solaris OS on Intel and SPARC platforms respectively, capable of using SHELL
• Good knowledge on IT architecture and Service Management is essential. Know how on Methodology for Systems Design and Architecture planning is required. Experience in handling R&D environments is a plus.
• Service manager defines and manages continuity, security, quality and (cost-) efficiency of one or more IT Services across end-to-end service life cycle. Has total cost of ownership (TCO) responsibility for one or more IT Services. In addition, has Service Level Management overall responsibility.
• Understands of business needs and translates these into IT Services. Active planning (service, STP etc). Supports solution strategy creation, owns and implements the IT service roadmap. Is responsible for ensuring continuous improvement (short/medium/long term) of the IT Service with respect to business needs.
• Service manager is responsible for ensuring quality of IT service delivery in use phase. Plans, analyses and reports of use costs and service levels. Ensures use phase preparation tasks are performed in programs and projects.
